Bolsón and Lake Puelo

Itinerary

Leaving the city of San Carlos Bariloche, to the south, by the mythical route Nro 40, the coasts of the lakes Gutiérrez, Mascardi and Guillelmo will accompany us, halfway is the mystical town El Foyel, a small town in the commune of El Manso.

We make our first stop, there we have a coffee shop and food services, in the inns (paradores?) located on the side of the route. The biggest attraction of the city is the Artisan Fair where we can observe them manipulating pieces in different metals, ceramics, wood, fabrics, stained glass, cutlery, bijouterie.

After lunch we leave for the Lago Puelo National Park, with emerald green waters, located 16 km from El Bolsón, passing the interprovincial boundary between Río Negro and Chubut. This last postcard accompanies us on the way back to Bariloche in a sunset between lakes and mountains.

All year round: Thursday and Saturday. The months of January and February there are departures Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday.

The artisan fair that is located in the center of Bolsón works on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays from January and February, throughout the year on Thursdays and Saturdays.

Can I do winter activities in Bolson?

No, in this excursion the visit to the Perito Moreno ski center is not planned.

Important information

Search points: Barrio Las Victorias, bus terminal, center of Bariloche until km 8 by Avenida Bustillo also of Avenida Pioneros and other points located in the direction of El Bolsón.
